I graduated from the University of Nebraska - Lincoln back in 1996 during it's most recent heyday. They have not done so well at American Football since then, but this year, it looks like they are showing signs of turning things around. 

They are 3-0, having beat University of Texas El Paso, Colorado and Northern Iowa in decisive fashion. The closest game was against Colorado but they still won by 18 points. We will see how things go against Illinois this Friday, but there is reason to be optimistic, which is something Cornhusker fans haven't been able to say in a while. Although they did win five games last year, three of which were conference games, which is showing an upward trend since they won four in 2022, and three in 2021.
